Forever Changes: Arthur Lee and the Book of LOVE" Promo Event at Book Soup West Hollywood, CA July 10, 2010
Musical performance: Mike Randle, Dave Chapple, David Daddyo Green perform five songs, two are shown. First song " Five String Serenade" A little hiccup mid-way in the video when changing tapes.
While transferring this segment to DVD, I had the opportunity to quietly watch & appreciate the performance. Before I realized it, my mind transported back to the first time Arthur sang this song to me. It was over the phone, he in Memphis I in L.A. He had written it earlier that day sitting in the back yard with the family dog when a late summer light rain began. His guitar only had those 5 strings. From that came something so beautiful that touches you just as the rain drops touched gently upon his soul to inspire the song.
The second song performed is " Love on Earth Must Be" never in public before. The full blown studio version with Arthur singing is in the process of being prepared for release. When it's finished, you will not be disappointed, absolutely inspirational & beautiful.
